Dear friends,
We are writing to you on this occasion, to rejoice in your merit. Your kind donations helped a high number of people, including nuns, families, and children. Also, with some of the funding received over the past months, we were able to donate extra material to one of the local hospitals, which includes 65 pillowcases, 70 pillows, and 70 bedsheets.
We are pleased to share the thank you letter to all donors for their support from Venerable Bhikkhunī Vijitananda. She is now in Sri Lanka and she kindly thanked us for the donations and reported their current situation.
"Dear Venerable Visuddhi, your dāna has arrived just on time. Now, in Covid time, the situation here is very challenging for us. The monasteries have no support from the villagers, and it is very difficult to receive food. We are very happy that we were able to receive some support from you, so we can also help some local families, and we can eat healthy food. I believe this is a good kamma for us nuns.
I bless you and your friends, your dāna will help us a lot and free us from hunger and bring us better health. May you all have a great life and good health and be safe. May your mind be calm and well, may it bring you wisdom and may you be free from suffering.
Thank you very much for your help Venerable Bhikkhunī, you gave a very big support for us and the people of Sri Lanka. Thank you for your respect and help, because thanks to you, family members are facing less problems and are not suffering from hunger.
Today is Saturday evening and we do Bodhi pūja for you and your donors and recite blessings. May you be in good health, safe and happy. May your mind be calm and be out of danger from CoronaVirus and other health issues. May you live a peaceful life with wisdom and without suffering with your children, families and friends, may you live without hardship. May you have a great life, be healthy and happy, even your families. May the Dhamma accompany you and help you attain nibbāna."
Sincerely, yours bhikkhunī Vijitananda
Here you can see Sri Lankan nuns chanting while preparing natural medicine for the local community. This is just one of the countless acts of kindness of these nuns, and we are happy to be able to share it with you all.
May each and every one of you rejoice in your merit.
